Istanbul, Turkey Split into there different sections divided by the Turkish Strait which is also know by the Turks, ürk Boğazları. In the morning you could be having breakfast in “Europe” and in the afternoon you can take the ferry across the Turkey Split and lunch in Asia. The more conservative and tourist side of Istanbul is in the neighborhood of Sirkeci. This is where you will see things like the Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmet Camii), Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar, and more. One thing you must try while in Turkey is Turkish Delights! One of the most iconic symbols that you must try while in Turkey. Trust me you won’t regret it.
On the other side of the Turkey Split you’ll find an area called Taksim. This is an area where you can go shopping in the day, drink coffee in the afternoon, and party throughout night. If you like smoking shish also know as Nargile and playing backgammon you’ve came to the right place. Nargile cafe are all over Istanbul. It’s be hard not to find one. Do you like live music? Taksim is packed with live music! Whether it’s in a bar or on the streets you will find live music in Taksim any given day of the week. FYI on the off chance you are looking for lighting fixtures or power tools this is the place. For some reason on the side streets there are packed full of lighting stores and power tools.
